It was a pleasure to meet pupils at St Andrew's Primary School, Woodhall Spa and Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar, Alford virtually to celebrate UK Parliament week.
UK Parliament Week is an annual event which encourages people to join a UK-wide conversation about our democracy and what Parliament means to them. This year, UK Parliament week took place between 1-7 November and saw many local schools and community groups take part in the activities.
I was delighted to answer pupils' questions on a range of subjects, such as Parliament, the role of an MP and different government policies. We also discussed what they have been up to in school and how we can improve our local area.
It is great to see young people engaged in local and national matters and hear what Parliament means to them.
