Victoria Atkins MP is holding a Flood Forum in Louth at 6pm on 20th May 2016 to discuss the issue of inland flooding with residents and organisations involved in preventing flooding.
Local residents are invited to this public meeting to hear of the progress made and to raise their concerns with those agencies involved in protecting Louth & Horncastle from the risk of flooding.
A second forum to focus on the issues relating to coastal flooding will be held on the coast later this year.
Victoria said,
“Flooding is a risk across rural and coastal areas in the constituency. In terms of inland flooding, there is positive news with the new flood alleviation schemes in Horncastle and in Louth but we must not rest on our laurels.
I am holding this meeting so that local residents can hear the progress that has been made, but also to give them the opportunity to highlight outstanding concerns with the agencies concerned.
I will be holding a similar meeting later in the year on coastal flooding."
