After a number of constituents contacted me to report that the National Grid’s consultation had been closed early this afternoon, my office immediately contacted National Grid to ask how this error had occurred.
National Grid has now responded: “As you are aware, our consultation has been open for eight weeks since Thursday 18 January, throughout which numerous channels have been available for communities and stakeholders to provide their feedback, including by email, letter, and both hard copy and online versions of the feedback form.
"We are aware of a small technical glitch in the feedback form, which has now been resolved, that resulted in the online feedback form being unavailable for a short period of time earlier today. All other methods of providing feedback were available during this period.
"Our consultation will close at 11:59pm on 13th March. If anyone wishes to provide us with their comments via email or post after this date then they are very welcome to do so, however we cannot guarantee that these will be included in our analysis from this stage of consultation. In addition, our contact channels will remain open following the close of consultation to respond to any queries that communities and stakeholders may wish to raise.”
I would once again urge any constituents who have not yet completed the consultation to do so.
