Victoria Atkins MP recently visited Bearhugs Nursery in Horncastle to see first-hand the work of the nursery and their excellent Mud Café!
The Nursery employs 29 people on two sites and looks after more than 40 children. Victoria discussed the important role that nurseries play in supporting parents and early years development with Sonia Elton (Owner), Tina Danby (Area Manager) and Shona Fulton (Senior Assistant Manager). Victoria also met the children currently lucky enough to attend at Bearhugs and experience the delights of the “Mud Café”.
Victoria said,
“I was delighted to visit Bearhugs and meet Sonia, Tina, Shona and all the other staff who work so hard to support local families with childcare. We discussed the importance of early years development and some of the challenges faced by early years providers.
I will be making representations to the Secretary of State for Education, Nicky Morgan, on their behalf. It was a real treat to meet the young children who attend Bearhugs, and to play at the Mud Café with them.”
