East Lindsey has been allocated £1,791,546 from the Rural England Prosperity Fund over the next two years.
The funding will benefit some rural businesses such as farms, wedding venues and pubs. Money will be invested in projects which will boost productivity and create rural job opportunities.
Grants from the fund could be used on projects such as converting farm buildings to other business uses, boosting rural tourism by investing in visitor accommodation, providing digital infrastructure for community hubs such as village halls, pubs and post offices, restoring or developing local heritage sites, creating new footpaths and cycle paths and developing volunteering and social action projects locally.
Investment in our rural areas is an important part of the government’s vision for levelling up the country. This money will allow ELDC to deliver on their plans to level up businesses and communities in rural areas, in line with residents’ priorities.
