Today, Victoria Atkins MP raised the job losses announced by BAE Systems with the Minister at the first opportunity.
BAE Systems is a vital employer in the local area. They maintain the Typhoon jets that fly from RAF Coningsby to defend our country. Constituents also commute to highly skilled careers and apprenticeships at RAF Brough in Humberside.
Victoria hopes the Minister's response will provide reassurance that the Government will do all it can both by working with the company and others to make sure that we do not lose these skills from the British workforce.
