Today I joined Matt Warman MP and Lincolnshire PCC Marc Jones at Boston College to launch a new project with the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority on modern slavery and labour exploitation.
This groundbreaking work will put employment rights firmly on the curriculum and reach out to local employers to help them better understand their responsibilities.
The GLAA has played a pivotal role in our fight against exploitation by using its new powers to investigate labour market offences, arrest employers who may unscrupulously be exploiting their workers, and identify and refer potential victims to ensure the right support is given to those in need.
I'm proud that Lincolnshire is at the forefront of our world-leading approach to tackling this awful, hidden crime.
